The first phase of a CNY 275.8 million LNG peak-shaving and CNG mother-station project in Shawan, Xinjiang, has completed its 5,000 cubic metre full-containment tank and positioned all process-area equipment. Process piping tie-ins are 98% finished, and the 450,000 cubic metre per day skid-mounted liquefaction unit plus a 100,000 cubic metre CNG station are scheduled for trial operation in mid-December. Once commissioned, the site will handle 550,000 cubic metres of natural gas daily and produce 115,000 to 120,000 tonnes of LNG a year.
