The Port of Galveston’s Wharves Board has approved a lease and development agreement with Power LNG Ventures for Project Seawolf, a US$240 million LNG production and marine fuelling facility on Pelican Island, Texas. The first phase is sized at 400,000 gallons per day with room to double, and the layout calls for two liquefaction units, a 3-million-gallon storage tank and a ship-loading pier. Equipment orders are expected in early 2027 ahead of commercial operation in late 2028, subject to financing and permits.
