EU Set to Keep Hot-Rolled Stainless Duties as Vietnam Weighs Cold-Rolled Case

The European Commission has sent interested parties its general disclosure in the expiry review of anti-dumping duties on stainless hot-rolled coil from Indonesia, China and Taiwan, proposing to keep the measures for a further five years. Cold-rolled duties on Indonesian and Indian material are also under review, so with the steel import quota regime the barriers facing Asian flat products in Europe are unlikely to ease. Vietnam has separately accepted a petition against cold-rolled stainless from China, Indonesia and Taiwan, with a decision due by mid-November.
