Singapore’s Seatrium has secured a full-scope EPCIC contract from Excelerate Energy to convert an LNG carrier into a floating storage and regasification unit, with an option for a second conversion. Engineering starts in the fourth quarter of 2026, with delivery targeted for 2028. Once completed, the vessel will offer 170,000 cubic metres of LNG storage capacity together with TFDE power generation and reliquefaction technology, becoming the 13th FSRU in Excelerate’s fleet. Seatrium has completed 22 FSRU, FLNG and FSU conversion projects since 2007.
