VA Tech WABAG has secured a domestic mega order worth more than 1,000 crore rupees from Reliance Industries to build a desalination and remineralisation complex serving the Jamnagar refinery and petrochemical hub in Gujarat. Capacity starts at 8,400 cubic metres per hour with room to expand to 12,600, about 302 million litres a day, combining seawater and brackish-water reverse osmosis with lamella clarifiers, dissolved air flotation and ultrafiltration. Execution is phased over 25 months.
