Germany-headquartered PWT Wasser and Saudi contractor Al-Masar Al-Hadeeth have signed a contract with state utility National Water Company to build a membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment plant serving the King Abdullah District in Jizan. Capacity is about 11,356 cubic metres a day, and the scope also covers sludge treatment facilities, pumping stations, wastewater collection works and associated sewage networks. MEED Projects values the award at roughly USD 20 million and describes it as PWT’s first major water infrastructure project in the kingdom.
