Krones commissioned its second Taicang factory in Jiangsu on 13 October, an investment of about EUR 200 million and the group’s largest single commitment in China since it arrived in 2004. The 120,000 square metre site adds capacity for roughly 500 complete filling and process lines a year, covering brewing and blending equipment, fillers and line spares. Run together with the original plant, Taicang is now Krones’ biggest production base outside Germany, with full output projected at more than RMB 5 billion in annual value.
