A groundbreaking ceremony has been held in Kuwait for the North Kabd wastewater treatment plant and related works, undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation. The site covers roughly 2.8 million square metres and starts at 500,000 cubic metres per day of treatment capacity, with provisions to expand to 1 million cubic metres per day. Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works describes the project as a strategic upgrade for wastewater collection, transport, reuse and environmental sustainability under the country’s Vision 2035 programme.
